Dashboard Analytics

The Hunch dashboard provides comprehensive analytics to help you understand how visitors interact with your AI chat widget. This guide explains all the analytics features available in your dashboard.

Dashboard Overview

When you log into Hunch, you'll see the main dashboard with key metrics at a glance:

  • Sessions: Total number of visitor chat sessions
  • Messages: Total messages exchanged between visitors and AI
  • Websites: Number of websites connected to your account

Sessions

The Sessions view shows all chat conversations with your visitors. Each session includes:

  • Visitor information: Anonymous visitor ID and metadata
  • Duration: How long the conversation lasted
  • Messages: All messages exchanged in the session
  • Status: Whether the conversation was handled by AI or escalated to human
  • Timestamp: When the session started

Session List

The sessions list provides a chronological view of all visitor interactions. You can:

  • Search through past sessions
  • Filter by date range
  • Filter by website (if you have multiple sites)
  • View individual conversation transcripts

Website Statistics

For each website you have connected, you can view:

  • Total Sessions: Number of conversations on that site
  • Messages per Session: Average messages exchanged
  • Peak Activity Times: When visitors are most active
  • Conversion Indicators: Sessions that led to positive outcomes

Using Analytics to Improve

Use the analytics data to:

  1. Identify popular questions - See what visitors are asking most
  2. Optimize AI responses - Improve answers based on common queries
  3. Understand visitor behavior - Learn when visitors are most active
  4. Track performance - Monitor improvements over time

Accessing Analytics

Navigate to the Analytics section from the main dashboard sidebar to view detailed metrics and session data.
