Add Your First Website

Add your website to Hunch to start embedding the AI chat widget.

Adding a Website​

  1. Log in to your Hunch dashboard
  2. Navigate to Websites in the sidebar
  3. Click Add Website
  4. Enter your website URL (include the protocol: https://)

Website URL Requirements​

  • Must include http:// or https://
  • Example: https://yourdomain.com or https://www.yourdomain.com

After Adding​

Once you add a website, you'll receive:

  • A unique API key for that website
  • An embed code snippet

Embed Code​

The embed code looks like this:

Copy this code and add it to your website.

Website Status​

Your website can have one of two statuses:

PendingWebsite added but not yet verified
VerifiedInstallation confirmed and working

Verifying Installation​

To verify your installation:

  1. Add the embed code to your website
  2. Go to your website settings in the dashboard
  3. Click Verify Installation
  4. If successful, the status will change to "Verified"

Managing Multiple Websites​

You can add multiple websites based on your plan:

  • Free: 1 website
  • Starter: Up to 5 websites
  • Professional: Unlimited websites

Website Settings​

For each website, you can configure:

  • Appearance: Position, theme, greeting message
  • Branding: Logo, avatar, colors
  • Trigger Rules: When the chat appears
  • Webhooks: Human handoff configuration

Removing a Website​

To delete a website:

  1. Go to the website settings
  2. Click Delete
  3. Confirm the deletion

Deleting a website will remove all chat history associated with it.
