Add Your First Website

Add a website to create a website-scoped deployment in Hunch.

Create the website record​

  1. Log in to your Hunch dashboard
  2. Navigate to Websites in the sidebar
  3. Click Add Website
  4. Enter your website URL (include the protocol: https://)
  5. Save the website

What Hunch creates​

Each website gets:

  • a unique website API key
  • a versioned embed snippet
  • website-specific widget settings
  • discovery and tooling state
  • analytics, leads, and handoff data scoped to that site

Install the embed​

The embed code looks like this:

Install that snippet on the site, then return to the website detail page in Hunch.

Verifying Installation​

  1. Add the embed code to your website
  2. Go to your website settings in the dashboard
  3. Click Verify Installation
  4. Confirm the widget loads on a real page

Run discovery after verification​

Once the widget is verified, run discovery so Hunch can inspect your live pages and map:

  • content pages
  • forms and submit actions
  • booking, signup, and checkout style flows
  • key CTA buttons and destination pages

Review the discovered tools before using them in production.

Configure the website​

For each website you can now set:

  • widget branding and theme presets
  • localization and offline messaging
  • handoff schedule and offline capture mode
  • AI behavior and knowledge sources
  • eval automation and release candidates
  • CRM attribution settings and ROI assumptions

Removing a Website​

To delete a website:

  1. Go to the website settings
  2. Click Delete
  3. Confirm the deletion

Deleting a website will remove all chat history associated with it.
